1 in 5 Brooklynites goes to bed hungry*.
Brooklyn Feeds seeks to address this injustice by bringing Brooklyn restaurants and non-profits that cater to the borough’s hungry together for a day of fundraising and awareness building.
To help this effort, House of Juice will donate a portion of our day’s sales, 50% of our most popular recipes, to a local partner organization.
This grassroots effort to increase awareness and raise funds to fight hunger in Brooklyn, NYC’s hungriest borough is in line with our Feeding 1,000 Kids events which has received tremendous support for you our customers and fans over the past 3 years. The simple act of dining in our restaurant on March 7th allows you to get involved and support our efforts to address food insecurity in the local community. The funds we raise will go to Neighbors Together, a Bed-Stuy hunger-fighting organization that provides food to over 10,000 New Yorkers a year.
Together we can fight hunger in Brooklyn. March 7th 2017 at House of Juice 642 Rogers Ave, Brooklyn NY 11226
*Did you know that 20% of Brooklyn households suffer from “food insecurity,†a federal measurement used to determine the number of people who have limited or uncertain access to adequate food.
